For my husband's 30th birthday I knew I wanted to do something extra special beyond the normal parties of hanging out in our backyard eating and playing bags. Once I decided on the "Dirty 30" theme, it all seemed to fall into place from there. I decided to have it at a nearby campsite where we could offer our friends the option of staying after the party and camping with us. I knew it would create the perfect rustic site for the party.

Since we are not rustic type people, I wanted to give it a more modern feel. I did this by adding bold black and white stripes to the invite, pennants, and all of the printables. It was such a fun event to plan, and makes it even better when you're doing it for someone you care about! I hope you enjoy the pics!

I made lots of pennants using colored card stock and a black and white
stripe card stock I printed myself.

I used twine and attached the pennants with clothes pins.
For the food table I made a banner that said "Happy Dirty 30 Matt!"

Matt's favorite dessert are cupcakes from Walmart...so I didn't
even have to bake! I just created toppers that said things like "Matt is  older than dirt"
and "Dirty 30". Then just attached them with clothes pins.

For table decor I used mason jars filled with rocks and moss then created
signs and attached them to popsicle sticks.

I also added some classic pictures of Matt growing up.

What camping experience would be complete without s'mores?!

For the party favor I made edible "dirt" and put it in small jars.

The tag says "Dirt" on one side and "Thanks for celebrating Matt's Dirty 30 with us" on the other.

In front of the dessert table I just hung pennants but added some pictures of Matt.

BBQ Turkey Sandwiches with  "30" signs. Yum!

For food tents I created the lables, backed them with kraft paper,
and then attached them to clay pots using cloths pins.

Birthday boy!

It was a perfect night!
